DuPage Medical Group is following all precautions and protocols set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). According to the IDPH, it is important to practice the following precautions: “cover your cough or sneeze, wash your hands frequently, and see your doctor if you have fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. If you get sick, stay home and limit contact with others to avoid infecting them.” Please refer to the health alerts from the DuPage County Health Department for key facts about H1N1 and helpful prevention tips (downloads available on the left side of this article). As the H1N1 vaccine becomes available, DMG will endeavor to provide these to our patients. We will post any information we have regarding the availability of the vaccine as soon as we have more information.
Be assured that we are monitoring the developments surrounding the flu and that additional information will be provided on our website as it becomes available. For specific information on both the seasonal and H1N1 flu, we encourage you to visit the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services flu website at www.flu.gov, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.cdc.gov and the DuPage County website at www.protectdupage.org for updates as more information becomes available.
