As a member of the Cardiology Department, Tammy Johnsen is a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. In 1987 Tammy earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Marion College in Fond du Lac, WI. In 2003 Tammy earned a Master’s of Science Degree from DePaul University with Distinction. She was inducted to Sigma Theta Tau, The National Honor Society for Nursing, due to her outstanding academic accomplishments.
Tammy is Board Certified from the American Nursing Credentialing Center in the area of Adult Care. Tammy remains an active Member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Prior to joining DuPage Medical Group in 2007, Tammy was on staff as a Nurse Practitioner at Edward Hospital in Naperville IL.
In addition to Tammy’s clinical practice, she has presented research in several cardiovascular related areas including her graduate research in Heart Failure. In 2005 Tammy presented “Development of a Stroke Center of Excellence in a Community Hospital” at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference.
Tammy practices at our Naperville location with privileges at Edward and Central DuPage Hospitals.
